What The Font

fonts

I wanted to share a helpful resource for graphic designers or anyone interested in fonts or typography. What The Font from myfonts.com is a great tool for figuring out the name of a particular font. It allows you to upload an image and then helps you identify the font being used. The results are fairly accurate although not perfect. At the very least they can help find a similar font.

For those of you that have iPhones, there's also a free What The Font app on the app store. I downloaded it and it's actually very cool. To use the app, you can take a picture with the built in camera and it will come up with a list of matches. Although it's a little tricky, if you follow the instructions carefully it works quite well.
